The boys in Senior Infants and First Classes became scientists this morning as they constructed their own mini robots. Ms Milne's uncle Benny facilitated the workshop, with the generous support of the Electricity Supply Board. He showed the boys how to make the robots using plastic cups, motors, wires, batteries, straws and markers.
The lesson opened the boys eyes to the exciting world of robotics and electronics. And there was a little art there too because their miniature robot could draw! Needless to say, lots of fun was had by all along with lots of learning too. We are very grateful to the ESB, to Ms Milne, and especially to her Uncle Benny for all the laughter and learning that we enjoyed during the course of this very special workshop! Comments are closed.
