Respect was the theme of our February Assembly. We gathered in our hall to award those pupils who embodied that value in their dealings with others, with their teachers and in their approach to their school work.
And we also gathered to celebrate all the good things that have been happening in our school in the past few weeks. Our two amazing quiz teams were applauded. So too, was our Spelling Bee champion and the boys who succeeded in making it onto our Five Aside soccer team. Mr Lynch's class had written to some famous sports stars. Tom and Daniel both received letters in response to their ones from Dublin GAA star Paul Mannion and Irish Hockey star Grace O`Flanagan. They proudly read out those letters to all of the assembled boys and staff. So good of those sporting heroes to respond to our boys! As part of our Creative Arts Initiative our fourth class have been involved in a series of workshops with artist Yvonne Byrne and so next up we had a fine description from Ms Smyth's class of all of their work. They proudly displayed the wonderful fish they had created with ink and pastels. Ciarán from Mr Arthur's class demonstrated his new soccer skills from a Skills Camp he had attended, while Joshua and Seán recited the wonderful poems they had learnt in their Speech and Drama lessons. Well done all! Looking forward to more celebrations of our talented boys at our March assembly! Comments are closed.
