Our Confirmation candidates will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this Thursday 5th March in Mornington Church. It's a milestone day for them for their families and indeed, for our school community.
It has come with a great deal of preparation. Our pictures show today's rehearsal. We have a fantastic choir from fifth class led by a talented troupe of teachers. Ms Milne and Ms McWeeney are the musical directors, accompaniment is provided by Ms Milne, Ms Smyth and Ms Cronin, while the choir is conducted by Ms Gerrard and supervised by Mr Arthur. We are extremely grateful to the Fifth class parents who have supported the boys in participating in this choir. They sound amazing! We also have Fr Joseph, our chaplain, with us today and right throughout the year, visiting our classes, listening to the boys and supporting their faith development. And Ms Weir has supported and encouraged our boys too in their growing faith and also expertly assisted with their preparatory Masses and rehearsals. Ms Mullen and Ms McBride, meanwhile, have delivered the Confirmation programme in school and encouraged the boys to grow as respectful, reflective, Christian and caring members of their communities. On Thursday next we will welcome many new visitors, friends, and family members of our community to our church. Please remind them that they can best support our boys and all of their work for this special day by being respectful of the ceremony and of the church. We would love everyone to join in the prayers and singing, or to sit quietly. There will be plenty of time for fun and photos after the ceremony is over! Looking forward to a great day for our school, our community and for our boys! Comments are closed.
