St Colmcille's GAA grounds in Piltown was the venue for our latest gaelic football adventure this week. The boys took on a team from St. Declan's Primary School in Ashbourne. There's a great camaraderie with this school as both teams recognize the importance of giving as many players as possible a chance to get a good game. We came armed with twenty five footballers and all of them were keen to get out there on the pitch and to cheer each other on from the side-line.
It was a good game, with lots of running about all over the pitch but, in the end up, St. Declan's claimed victory. Donacarney lost the battle but have not conceded the war just yet. We are looking forward to another match in the next week or two and are all taking our training seriously in advance of that match. Comments are closed.
