We had a great match against Ratoath yesterday in Dunganny all-weather pitch.
In the first fifteen minutes Ratoath were up by two points. Ratoath are a great team. They don't take any nonsense. Noah scored the first point for us. In a wet windy and cold so that presented a big challenge to both teams as the ground was kind of slippy and so was the ball. When you'd bounce the ball it would slide away. By half time we had drawn level with Ratoath even though they had the wind in the first half. Mr Arthur gave us an encouraging team talk at half time. He told us to go for points because we were going for goals too much. After half time it was still a good tight game. But we had the wind with us which was a challenge for Ratoath's goal keeper. So in the last few minutes we pulled away and managed to score a good few goals and points. The final tally saw us win by eight points. This means we can go now into the quarter finals against Kells next Monday. We know we were lucky to get the win but we are delighted with it and ready to go against Kells.
