Our Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Classes enjoyed a visit to the National Concert Hall last week. The Music in the Classroom event features the RTÉ Symphony Orchestra. It gives the audience an opportunity to experience the unique sound of live music in a purpose built setting, along with encouraging them to enjoy a broad range of classical music.
The programme included work from the composers John Williams, Jean Sibelius, Peadar Townsend and Piotr Ilyih Tchaikovsky. Audience involvement was very much encouraged with singing and ceilidh dancing. Above all, it's great to have fun with music- a great way to encourage the musicians of the future.
